Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qassibi, Minister of Commerce and Investment, led the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to the 33rd session of the Permanent Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation, an affiliate of Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC ) currently ongoing in Istanbul.
The four-day meeting aims to improve trans-border transport corridors among the member states in addition to discuss the global economic developments and enhance the volume of intra-OIC trade. The meeting also deals with enhancing the private sector's role in the economic cooperation and developing the sectors of tourism, transport, agriculture and food security and, moreove, seeks poverty alleviation, organizers say. |
