 The portal will be an electronic platform that includes studies and information about foreign markets and a virtual marketplace to connect exporters with importers.
Cairo- Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil said that preparations are underway to launch the experimental version of the Egyptian exports online portal "Expo Egypt" this month, according to a recent report on the future plan of the Export Development Authority (EDA) and performance indicators during 2017. “The portal will be an electronic platform that includes studies and information about foreign markets and a virtual marketplace to connect exporters with importers. It also aims to develop a number of logistic centers in targeted markets and follow through with the activities of the Green Trade Initiative (GTI),” Kabil said. Kabil pointed out that this year will witness implementing the exporter sustainable development project in coordination with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The ministry, he added, is working on hosting the first exhibition on boosting bilateral trade with Africa in Cairo soon. |
