His Excellency Ibrahim Fateh Ali Al Khajah, Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and head of the Vocational Sector Committee at the Chamber, received Kazumasa Susaki, General Manager of Tokyo SME Support Center, and the accompanying delegation at the Chamber’s Tower in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting both sides discussed increasing cooperation relations between the Abu Dhabi Chamber and the Tokyo SME Support Center, which is one of the biggest supporting organization for small and medium enterprises in the Japanese capital Tokyo. H.E. Ibrahim Al Khajah said during the meeting that the Abu Dhabi Chamber is aware of informing businessmen and investors with the available investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi considering the emirate a competitive and attractive environment for investors and entrepreneurs. Al Khajah expressed the Chamber’s welcome to holding joint investment projects in order to increase economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, expressing the readiness of the Chamber to provide all the facilities for Japanese businessmen who have the desire to work and invest in Abu Dhabi. The Board Members added that such opportunities and facilities would enable Japanese businessmen and investors to reach the markets of the region easily thanks to the prominent location of the emirate of Abu Dhabi. For his part, Kazumasa Susaki, General Manager of Tokyo SME Support Center, pointed to the importance of cooperation between the center and the Abu Dhabi Chamber in supporting small and medium enterprises in Tokyo and Abu Dhabi, noting that the Center is the biggest organization to support SMEs in Tokyo. Susaki added that SMEs constitutes approximately 95% of the total number of companies in Tokyo and that they play a key role in the economy of the Japanese Capital. “The Center has an excellent database which it can provide for companies. This database consists of information on more than 30,000 companies.” The GM noted that the Center, in cooperation of 15 Japanese small and medium enterprises, will take part in the activities of Arab Health Congress which will be held from 29 January – 01 February 2018 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. “This will be the biggest gathering of healthcare organizations in the MENA region,” he said, pointing to the interest of Japanese SMEs in showcasing their services and innovations in this pivotal sector. Susaki expressed high hopes in increasing the level of cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Chamber and the Tokyo SME Support Center in a way that contributes positively on small and medium enterprises in Tokyo and Abu Dhabi. |
