The new complex will be set up in the 10th of Ramadan City, to be the first in Egypt, with a total investment of around EGP 1.5 billion.
Cairo- Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil met with Rafal Bednarczyk, president of Polfa group, a prominent Polish pharmaceutical manufacturer, to discuss its intention to establish an industrial complex in the 10th of Ramadan City for the production of infant milk formula, to be the first in Egypt, with a total investment of around EGP 1.5 billion. The project, he said, will be financed by the Polish national development bank and will be implemented by Polfa’s two affiliates specialized in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, in cooperation with Mlekovita, a dairy products company in Poland. “The new project comes as the culmination of fruitful talks held with the polish manufacturer in Warsaw, last March,” Kabil noted. “It is expected to help meet the needs of the Egyptian market, as well as export to a range of Arab and African countries.” With an investment value of EGP 600 million, the first phase of the park will produce baby milk, while the second will include the production of dairy products, such as cheese and butter. “Egypt is a promising investment market that enjoys great potentials for production, local marketing and export; being one of the top business destinations in the Middle East and North Africa,” Bednarczyk said |
