His Majesty King Abdullah II attended the Jordanian-Indian Business Forum, which was convened in New Delhi, with the participation of more than 300 businessmen and women, investors and corporate representatives from both countries.
The forum will discuss ways for enhancing cooperation between Jordan and India in a number of areas, especially investment, trade, industry, education, health, agriculture, mining, telecommunications, information technology, tourism and energy. The Forum, which is held under the title "Promoting Investment, Trade and Partnerships between Jordan and India", is organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and the Jordan Investment Commission in cooperation with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. His Majesty delivered a speech at the forum, in which he said Jordan is keen to expand economic cooperation and increase trade exchange with India. In his speech, the King said he was delighted to be back in India, adding: "I see the synergies between our two nations being so important as well as the opportunities that both countries offer to each other "On behalf of not only the Jordanian delegation but our colleagues from the public and the private sector from Jordan, some young students from our country that have joined us on this trip, we are truly delighted to be here, and the very warmth and hospitable welcome that has been given to us since our arrival," His Majesty said. King Abdullah thanked the Federation of India’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, and the government of India for making this trip so successful |
