The General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) said it has confirmed the keynote speakers for CIBAFI Global Forum 2018.
Themed "The New Face of Financial Services: Disruptions, Opportunities and the New Norms," the forum will be organised in partnership with the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkey (BRSA) on 2 – 3 May in Istanbul, Turkey. The forum is an annual event where industry heavyweights, practitioners and academia meet in one place under one roof to discuss transformational agendas. This year’s forum keynote speakers will be Palestine Monetary Authority chairman Azzam Shawwa, Astana International Financial Centre governor Kairat Kalbitov, Iraq Central Bank governor Ali Mohsen Ismael, Turkey's Banking Regulatory Agency chairman Mehmet Ali Akben, CIBAFI general secretary Abdelilah Belatik, ABG chief executive Adnan Ahmed, Morocco's Al-Maghreb Bank general director Buazza Abdulrahim, and Egypt's Faisal Islamic Bank governor Abdulhameed Abumoussa. The forum will shed light on how the industry fulfills its obligations while remaining competitive and relevant within financial markets globally. CIBAFI forum is a platform for insightful discussions about the Islamic finance industry, and it opens conversations about emerging trends, challenges and business opportunities. Distinguished industry experts will hail from around the globe to participate in exploring what it takes to build a successful industry. |
