His Excellency Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, 1st Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Her Excellency, Mónica de Greiff, Executive President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota, and the accompanying delegation at the Chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency Faihan Al-Fayez, Ambassador of Colombia to the UAE and His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, attended the meeting. H.E. Al-Mahmoud welcomed the visiting delegation, expressing high hopes that such a visit would support relations between Abu Dhabi and Bogota companies. He emphasized on the importance of informing businessmen and investors with the available investment opportunities in the Colombian capital and the facilities the government offer for foreign investors. Al-Mahmoud stated that Abu Dhabi welcomes all Colombian companies to visit and take a closer look at the available investment opportunities considering the support the emirate provides for many important sectors including the mining industry, financial services, telecommunications, aviation and space industries, pharmaceuticals, biotechnologies, tourism, education, healthcare, transportation, trade and logistics. For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Helal Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, pointed to the role of the Chamber in supporting the private sector, emphasizing of the readiness of the Chamber to provide all sorts of support to Colombian companies desirous of investing in Abu Dhabi. “The Abu Dhabi Chamber is completely ready to provide consultation and support to Colombian businessmen and to direct them towards sectors with high competitive capabilities and export value as well as to provide all the logistic support they need to develop trade and economic relations between the two sides,” he said. Al-Muhairi called on Colombian companies to participate in the Franchise Conference and Exhibition 2018, pointing out that the exhibition would create an important platform for Colombian companies to exhibit their brands and products in Abu Dhabi and to cooperate with their Emirati counterparts. H.E. Mónica de Greiff, Executive President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota, expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Abu Dhabi Chamber for their kind hospitality, stressing on the importance of the meeting in strengthening cooperation relations between Abu Dhabi and Bogota. De Greiff extended an invitation to the Abu Dhabi Chamber to visit Bogota and to meet Colombian companies in order to discuss trade and investment cooperation opportunities, expressing high hopes in the meeting to bear successful partnerships between Abu Dhabi and Bogota. |
