His Excellency Mohammed Helal Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received His Excellency Francisco Chacon, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the UAE, at the Abu Dhabi Chamber Building in Abu Dhabi.
Both sides discussed the prospects of economic and investment cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Costa Rica considering the increasing volume of trade growth between the two sides to more than 15%. HE Al-Muhairi presented the role of the Chamber in supporting the companies of the private sector, expressing the readiness of the Chamber to provide all sorts of support to the Costa Rican companies desirous of investing in Abu Dhabi. He also emphasized on the importance of organizing a seminar or a forum to promote for the available investment opportunities for the Emirati companies in Costa Rica. The Director General also spoke about the Abu Dhabi Investment Office of the Department of Economic Development and explained its role in informing foreign companies with the available investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi. For his part, HE Francisco Chacon, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the UAE, extended an invitation to the Emirati companies to explore the available investment opportunities in Costa Rica, especially in the tourism sector, renewable energy and sustainability, education and innovation. Chacon noted that the government in Costa Rica would provide all kinds of support and facilities to the companies of the private sector in Abu Dhabi which have the desire to invest in his country. The Ambassador stressed on the importance of bolstering economic relations between Abu Dhabi and Costa Rica in order to serve investors and the private sector in both countries. |
