Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Qabil has said Egyptian exports to Spain achieved a notable progress over the past year to hit euros 640.5 million in 2017 up from 420.5 million euros in the year before, with a 52.3 percent increase.<.br>
This came in a report released by the Ministry of Trade and Industry on the volume of trade movement between Egypt and Spain.<.br> Qabil said Egypt's imports from Spain decreased to record euros 1.26 billion in 2017 down from euros 1.38 billion in the year before, with a decrease rate of 8.6 percent.<.br> The minister also pointed out that the growth of trade volume between the two countries contributed to reducing the trade balance deficit by 76.5 percent to record euros 133.3 million in 2017 compared with euros 568.7 million in 2016.<.br> Meanwhile,Head of the Trade Representation Office and Ministry of Trade and Industry First Undersecretary Ahmed Antar said the shoring up of of trade movement between Egypt and Spain crowned the efforts of the Egyptian trade representation office in Spain as well as the promotion campaigns organized by the ministry to market Egyptian products at the specialized trade fairs in Spain. <.br> Egypt's exports to Spain include iron and steel,organic chemical products, cement, ready-to-wear clothes, glass and aluminium, he added. |
