Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Saeed el Assar said that coordination is underway with South Korea to develop the technological capabilities of the production lines of defense equipment.
The move comes to secure weapons and ammunition needed by the Armed Forces as well as to upgrade production lines of the civil products in the fields of manufacturing tablets and establishing water and waste water desalination plants, the defense minister noted. The defense minister made the remarks at a meeting with South Korea’s Ambassador to Egypt Yoon Yeo-cheol and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, Assar and the South Korean ambassador reviewed the current fields of joint cooperation between the companies affiliated to the Ministry of Military Production and the Korean companies. For his part, the South Korean ambassador hailed current cooperation between both sides, underlining that efforts are underway for further partnerships between the Korean companies and the military production companies. |
