A World Bank delegation, currently visiting Egypt, praised the progress reached in implementing the local development program and the role played by the Ministry of Local Development in leading work and coordinating among the various parties concerned.
This came during a meeting between the delegation and Minister of Local Development Abu Bakr el Guindi at the ministry's headquarters . The delegation is visiting Egypt to follow up programs and projects implemented by the bank in cooperation with the various ministries. Guindi asserted the attention given by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Sherif Ismail to developing Upper Egypt. The minister added that highly skilled and trained elements have been selected for the program implementation units in Sohag and Qena. He expressed concern with expanding cooperation between the ministry and the World Bank to cover supporting the ministry's efforts and preparing the local communities in the governorates for the upcoming municipal council elections. |
