 Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil said that 1,345 industrial facilities have obtained establishing and operating licenses from the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) in April compared with 153 licenses in the same period in 2017.
This comes within a report issued by the IDA over its performance in April 2017 and 2018, according to a statement . The minister added that issuing the law of industrial licenses, availability of more lands and setting the industrial investment map contributed to increasing investment rates in industrial sector during the past period. The newly-issued law of the IDA will achieve unprecedented surge in the industrial sector in Egypt, as the law authorized the IDA to promote investment in industrial domain, noted Qabil. New measures will be taken to establish new industrial zones in coordination with authorities concerned as well as expanding industrial zones in Beni Suef and Aswan governorates, he added. |
