 The agreement aims to enhance the competitiveness of 100% Egyptian cotton products on local and international markets.
Minister of Trade and Industry TareK Kabil attended the signing ceremony of a renewable three-year agreement to manage the rights of the "Egyptian Cotton" brand. The deal was inked in Cairo by the ministry, the Egyptian Cotton Exporters Association- as the sole holders of the trademark- and Cotton Egypt Association. “The agreement aims to enhance the competitiveness of 100% Egyptian cotton products on local and international markets,” Kabil said, highlighting that it would eventually boost Egyptian exports abroad. Under the agreement, a special unit will be formed of the three signatories to ensure the optimal use of the brand and sign cooperation protocols with leading international textile companies, he noted. Kabil added that a committee will be set up to approve and follow up on the implementation of the marketing plan. |
