Egyptian exports to Britain hit 202 million sterling in the first quarter of 2018, 28.3 percent up compared to the corresponding period of 2017, according to the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce (EBCC).
Egypt's imports from Britain decreased by 4.8 percent as they hit 257 million sterling during the first quarter of 2018 compared to the corresponding period of 2018. Britain's exports to the Middle East and North African countries went down by 14.5 percent to hit 5.12 billion sterling in the first quarter of 2018. The UK imports from these countries also decreased by 11 percent during the first quarter of 2018 to stand at 3.16 million sterling. Egypt is UK's sixth exporter in the Middle East and North Africa region. |
