The Agriculture and Land Reclamation Ministry said that Russia has approved to lift an import ban on Egyptian potatoes from eight zones.
In a statement, the Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Abdel Mon'em el Bana underlined that the Russian decision comes to crown negotiations held between the Egyptian agricultural quarantine and the Russian side besides exchanged visits, the matter which proves the high quality of the potatoes.
Bana reiterated that Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision notified Egypt with lifting the import ban imposed on Egyptian potatoes since 2015. The decision is set to come into force on June 6, the statement read. |
