Companies of the public sector and public business sector had implemented construction projects in various areas in 2016/2017, at a total value of EGP 27.1 billion, compared to EGP 23.9 billion in 2015/2016, with an increase of about 13.4 percent, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed .
In an annual bulletin to detail such construction projects, the CAPMAS said the two sectors had carried out residential buildings in 2016/2017, at a total amount of EGP 3.2 billion, against EGP 2.5 billion in 2015/2016. The value of health buildings built by the two sectors in 2016/2017 hit EGP 432.7 million, versus EGP 302.3 million in 2015/2016, the CAPMAS added. Meanwhile, the educational buildings, established by the two sectors, were of a total value of EGP 378.4 million in 2016/2017, compared to EGP 533.3 million in 2015/2016, the CAPMAS noted. The projects executed in the field of roads and tunnels registered a total amount of EGP 11.9 billion in 2016/2017, against EGP 8.7 billion in 2015/2016, the CAPMAS clarified |
