Egyptian Ambassador in Belgrade Amr Gewaili and Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic discussed boosting the bilateral ties, especially in the economic domain.
The meeting comes as part of the momentum witnessed due to the recently bilateral visits, and the cultural activities occurred in Belgrade to celebrate the 110th anniversary of establishing relations between the two countries. During the meeting, both sides discussed concrete ideas to increase the trade exchange, attract foreign investments, along with establishing joint business council, and holding a trade and investment forum. Tourism cooperation also raised during the talks as tourist arrivals to Egypt saw permanent increases, the ambassador said. Brnabic hailed Egypt’s role in preserving the regional stability. She also voiced confidence that close ties binding the two peoples would have an impact on development of economic relations between the two countries. She also pressed the need for resuming the convocation of the joint economic committee as soon as possible. |
