Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Liborio Stellino, Italian Ambassador to the UAE, and Vatentina Setta, Italian Consul General, discussed economic cooperation between Ajman and Italy, as well as potential investment opportunities in various areas, especially in the health and education sectors.
The meeting was also attended by Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Ajman Chamber, Mohammed Al Janahy, Executive Director of the Business and Investment Development Sector, and Marwan Hareb, Director of Business Promotion and Investment Development. During the meeting at the chamber’s headquarters, Al Muwaiji highlighted the importance of the meeting and relations between the UAE and Italy, while pointing out that the chamber is keen to improve its economic cooperation with all countries and create investment opportunities in economic, tourism, health and educational areas in Ajman, in light of the emirate’s advantages and its location at the centre of the country. Al Muwaiji invited Italian businesspeople and investors to visit Ajman and hold joint meetings with local businessmen, to present point of views, exchange experiences and hold partnerships that will increase foreign direct investment and commercial exchanges between Ajman and Italy. He also invited Italian investors to review key local projects, government departments and economic authorities, to explore available incentives. The meeting presented major real estate and tourism projects in Ajman, most notably the Al Zuraa Region, as well as the key sectors being prioritised by the Ajman Government. Stellino highlighted the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between both sides and to open economic channels for investors, while adding that there are areas that could witness further cooperation, especially the franchise and health sectors. |
