Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait said that Egypt managed to implement a comprehensive economic reform program that is aimed at achieving sustainable development.
In his speech at an international conference on financing sustainable development that is organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (ESCWA), he added that Egypt has already implemented two phases of the reform program which is lauded by international foundations. The reform program has enabled Egypt to restore its economic stability and achieve economic growth, he pointed out. Also, the economic reform measures helped increase investments and enhance the social protection nets for the needy people, he said, adding that these measures involve also upgrading the taxation and customs systems. |
