The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2019 has conducted an opinion poll to monitor global common concerns towards how to improve the world which is facing unprecedented political and economic challenges.
The problems of climate change, income inequality and the challenges posed by technological development pose an existential threat to humanity," said the Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum's Director-General, Professor Klaus Schwab, commenting on the results of the survey, which involved more than 10,000 people. He pointed out that the results of the poll will be among the topics to be addressed by 350 symposiums during the forum, which is attended by more than 3, 000 senior political and economic decision makers in the world from more than 110 countries, including 65 heads of state as well as heads of major United Nations organizations. The majority of respondents supported multilateral cooperation and openness to opportunities for migration while rejecting the idea that "the best interests of countries are at the expense of others. |
