 Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr said that the number of ventures in free zones reached 1,090 ones with capital worth $12.1 billion and foreign direct investment of $2.1 billion.
The projects contribute to providing 192,000 job opportunities as their investment cost hit about $26 billion, she noted. These remarks came during the minister's inspection tour of Nasr City's Public Free Zone to follow up the ongoing development work there as she convened with the zone's board of directors. Nasr asserted that enhancing the participation of the private sector in development is among her ministry's priorities. |
