Military Production Minister Mohamed el Assar said that participants in the 2019 IDEX International Defense Exhibition & Conference in Abu Dhabi were pleased by the Egyptian products that were displayed at the fair.
In a telephone call with "Extra News" channel on Tuesday 19/2/2019, Assar said that two brand new armored vehicles; ST-100 mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicle and ST-500 4x4 armored vehicle, in addition to other products of the Military Production factories were displayed in the exhibition. He further noted that he met the Korean defense minister and the Polish deputy defense minister, the Belarus military production minister and Sudanese Defense Minister Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein on the sidelines of his participation in the exhibition. As for preparations for Egypt Defense Expo - EDEX 2020; Egypt's first tri-service defense expo covering air, land and sea, he said several companies will participate in EDEX 2020. The IDEX International Defense Exhibition & Conference is the leading Trade Show for Defence and Homeland Security in the Middle-East, and the world’s second largest.
