Minister of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Amr Talaat left for Spain leading a high-ranking delegation to take part in proceedings of the GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in Barcelona.
The Egyptian delegation led by the minister groups prominent officials in the ICT Ministry, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). On the fringe of MWC, the minister is expected to meet a number of world officials to discuss means of enhancing joint cooperation and exchange of expertise with international organizations and major world companies operating in the field of ITC. Talaat is expected to witness the signing of a number of agreements on the fringe of the conference. The Congress sees itself as the leading show for mobile phones, mobile Internet and mobile applications. Until the year 2007 the GSMA Mobile World Congress was known as the 3GSM World Congress. The annual congress held in February is now one of the most important dates for top industry influencers. The event brings together the latest innovations and leading-edge technology from more than 2,400 leading companies, with a highly-rated conference program assembling today’s visionaries to explore the hottest topics influencing the industry. |
