Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel Moneim el Tarras discussed with the Cypriot defense attaché in Cairo the possibility of opening up new prospects for AOI-Nicosia cooperation in several industrial fields in addition to the exchange of expertise and training.
The AOI is keen to broaden aspects of cooperation with friendly countries, Tarras said, noting that coordination is underway for a visit by a high-level Cypriot delegation to Egypt with the aim of probing bilateral cooperation in some defense industries. Meanwhile, the Cypriot official noted that Egypt’s success in organizing the international Egyptian Defense Exhibition (EDEX 2018) has conveyed a message to the whole world about Cairo’s status and leading role in the region. The near future will witness further cooperation fields between the two sides in order to meet the demands of the Cypriot Defense Ministry through Egypt’s outstanding products that have been exhibited at EDEX, he added. |
