Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aati discussed with the Senegalese ambassador in Cairo means of boosting relations and cooperation among African states to activate comprehensive water resources management in Africa in light of Egypt’s chairmanship of the African Union in 2019.
The Senegalese side requested Cairo’s participation as a strategic partner in the 9th edition of the World Water Forum, the world’s biggest event on water, set to be held in Dakar in 2021, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation said in a statement . The move came after Egypt succeeded in organizing the first Cairo Water Week in October 2018. |
