Minister of Transport Kamel el Wazir met with a delegation from Russian-Hungarian consortium Transmashholding-Hungary Kft. in the presence of Russian Ambassador in Cairo Sergei Kravchenko.
The meeting discussed the measures taken to put into effect the contract signed between the Egyptian National Railways Authority and the Russian-Hungarian consortium for the supply of 1,300 new passenger cars. The transport minister said the deal will be the greatest in the history of Egypt’s railways, noting that it will make a quantum leap in the sector. The two sides probed everything related to the contract’s financial details, which Wazir said will be carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation. |
