Beirut and Mount Lebanon Commerce Chamber, chaired by Telecom Minister Mohammad Shoucair, hosted Tuesday a Lebanese-Bulgarian economic meeting, upon the visit of Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev to Lebanon, with the participation of Bulgarian and Lebanese businessmen.
< Talks reportedly focused on the means to develop the bilateral economic relations between the two countries. < In his word, Shoucair highlighted the necessity to approve the law on partnership between the public and private sectors, adding that Bulgarian companies can contribute to this achievement. < He also invited the Bulgarian companies wishing to expand in the region, to make of Lebanon their base, stressing that Lebanon is ready to make the necessary facilitations and arrangements for the companies willing to invest in the country. < For his part, President Radev indicated that refreshing economy required the factors of trust and political understanding. < He also maintained the historic friendship between Bulgaria and Lebanon. < "Bulgaria constitutes a main gate to Europe for the Lebanese companies," he said. < "Lebanon is in turn a gate for the Bulgarian companies wishing to expand in the Middle East," he underlined. < For his part, Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Alexander Manolev, highlighted the importance of bolstering the bilateral ties between the two countries. |
