Egypt is seeking to benefit from the development experiment in China, particularly in the field of technology, Moustafa Madbouli has said.
The Prime Minister, in a meeting with Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Huawei Investment & Holding Co. Li Jie , talked about a "positive climate" for cooperation between the two countries. Madbouli said Huawei could very well capitalize on the investment-friendly climate in Egypt and expand its businesses in the Arab country, especially where IT and smart cities are concerned. Li said his company is interested in the Egyptian market and would sure like to contribute to enhancing development sectors in the country. Huawei is particularly interested in the field of training with the aim to hone skills of cadres around the world, Li told Madbouli. He added that the company is willing to boost cooperation with Cairo to help the government and private sector achieve technological development. Attending the meeting was also Communications Minister Amr Taalat, who stressed Egypt's keenness to work with China in the fields of artificial intelligence and technology transfer. |
