State Minister of Military Production Mohamed el Assar discussed with Italian Ambassador in Cairo Giampaolo Cantini means of boosting cooperation between Italian companies and companies affiliated to the Military Production Ministry in the manufacturing field.
The two sides also took up cooperation with "Rheinmetall" and "Brita" and other Italian companies in defense and civilian industries. For his part, Cantini lauded the role played by the Military Production Ministry in shoring up investments in Egypt , in addition to the distinguished ties between Egypt and Italy. He also expressed the Italian companies' keenness on setting up joint industrial projects in Egypt. He further deemed as "a very important step" Egypt's presidency of the African Union during the current year, saying this will help consolidate Egypt's position as a gateway to Africa. Cantini also underlined that there are many Italian companies that have advanced technology in the various domains and are eager to do business in Egypt and Africa. |
