 Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tarek Amer has received the African Banker Award for the year 2019, said a statement by the CBE
The award is granted to the best governor of an African central bank, added the statement. Amer received his award at a ceremony that was held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, on Tuesday on the sidelines of his participation in annual meetings of the African Development Bank that are held on June 11-14, said the statement. The ceremony was attended by African ministers of finance and governors of central banks. The award is granted to central bank governors who achieved important reforms in the monetary policy and banking sector in their countries. |
