Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Hans Peter Lankes said the World Bank highly appreciates Egypt's remarkable achievements in its economic reform program and its fruitful policies which led to economic stability.
Meeting Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Investment Minister Sahar Nasr, Lankes added the IFC delegation, currently visiting Cairo, conferred with government officials and representatives of the private sector. IFC is interested to play a role in implementing private sector stimulus programs, as well as promising sectors including housing, transport, logistics, and data centers, he added. In turn, Madbouli hailed the fruitful cooperation between Egypt and WB's institutions, citing Benban Solar Park. The premier directed officials to continue coordination between the Investment Ministry and IFC, saying Egypt is keen on boosting ties with the WB. He reviewed efforts exerted by the government over the past few years to create a suitable environment for the private sector. |
