Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli inaugurated an annual workshop meant to hone skills in the field of countering money-laundering.
The workshop also focuses on enhancing potentials to deal with the funding of terrorism in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Organized by MENA Financial Action Task Force (FATF), in cooperation with the anti money-laundering group in the region, the workshop is attended by a big number of ministers, experts and representatives of international and regional organizations. The four-day event is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, which reflects Egypt's support to all efforts meant to overcome challenges facing the MENA region. The workshop includes a number of sessions that tackle crimes related to money-laundering and the funding of terrorism. Participants will discuss means to activate cooperation among MENA FATF group and with international organizations. |
