 The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained EGP 55.1 billion in August, with the market capital hitting EGP 770.2 billion, compared to EGP 715.1 billion the previous month.
All EGX indexes went up during the month, according to the EGX monthly report released after the end Thursday's transactions. The EGX 30 benchmark index soared 10.77 percent, hitting 14,835.36 points, while the EGX 70 index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises jumped 6.35 percent, standing at 553.34 points, said the report. The all-embracing EGX 100 index surged 8.02 percent over the past month, recording 1,455.08 points, it added. |
