The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the US hit $ 3.7 billion in the first half of 2019 against $ 3.4 billion in the corresponding period in 2018, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
In a statement , CAPMAS said Egypt's exports to the US stood at $ one billion in the first half of 2019 against $ 841.784 million in the same period in 2018 at a 19.9 percent rise. Egyptian imports to the US recorded $ 2.7 billion in the first six months of 2019 at a 4.1 percent uptick in comparison with the same period in 2018. The net US investments in Egypt in the first half of the 2018-2019 fiscal year reached $ 1.70 billion at a 5.2 percent rise in comparison with the same period in the 2017-2018 fiscal year. |
