Egyptian Ambassador to Tanzania Mohamed Gaber Abul Wafa discussed with Tanzanian Investment Minister Angellah Kairuki means of bolstering economic cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting touched on ways of boosting investments and activities of Egyptian companies and businessmen in Tanzania in a way that serves the two countries’ efforts to achieve sustainable development and foster bilateral economic and trade ties, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement . During the meeting, Abul Wafa said that a large number of Egyptian firms and businessmen are keen to get acquainted with investment opportunities available in Tanzania, especially in the fields of agriculture, livestock production, pharmaceuticals, industry, energy, construction and infrastructure. The Egyptian ambassador also pointed out to the great momentum witnessed by Egypt-Tanzania relations since President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to Dar es Salaam in August 2017. Meanwhile, the Tanzanian minister voiced her country’s appreciation for the remarkable interest shown by many Egyptian companies to invest in Tanzania. |
