Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli welcomed choosing Egypt as premises of the Arab Union of Arbitration for Investment and Economic Disputes.
This came during Madbouli's meeting with the union's chairperson, Sameh Ashour and secretary general, Samir Zabdeyah. Ashour briefed Madbouli on the measures taken for establishing the union that will be the first arbitration body for economic and trade disputes and will be affiliated to the Arab League Economic Unity Council. Under the union, a court of arbitration will be established in each Arab country, with a new academy that will offer various scientific degrees specialized in the field of arbitration and mediation, as well as related laws and subjects. The union includes 14 Arab countries, with more expected to join soon. At the end of the meeting, the head of the Arab union and the secretary general handed Madbouli the union's shield in appreciation of the Egyptian government's role in enhancing mechanisms of joint Arab action. |
