Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar asserted Egypt's keenness on extending bridges of cooperation among African states and drawing up a vivid roadmap towards achieving an African industrial integration through exchanging views and uniting visions so as to serve industrial and commercial cooperation inside Africa.
The remarks were made by the minister during his inauguration of a workshop under the name of "Made in Africa" with the participation of African industry ministers, heads of African industrial unions as well as representatives of the private sector from around 25 African countries and eight European ones along with China. Nassar said Africa has become a strong entity that should outline a common vision for "Africa that we want", pointing out to the importance of boosting African cooperation to meet the challenges of the industrial sector which could be a main pillar of realizing the African economic integration. He made it clear that the workshop discusses a set of important issues on the relative privileges in Africa, the development of infrastructure of transport and communication to gain the fruits of liberalization of trade in the continent. The event also addresses such topics as achieving regional integration and enhancing joint action towards realizing financial inclusion in addition to encouraging commercial and personal loaning. |
