 President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said the State is focusing in the current stage on the health and economic sectors.
While opening several development projects via video conference, Sisi interrupted Health Minister Hala el Saeed during her address, saying that several initiatives were launched to alleviate health challenges facing people. He noted that about 300,000 operations were conducted in one year at EGP 2 billion within the framework of state efforts to end waiting lists of patients. He noted that such initiatives were launched to move ahead until the launch of the all-out health insurance system which was given the go-ahead . As for eliminating Hepatitis Virus C initiative, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said the initiative has managed to reach the citizens who need treatment. He added that the state is currently working on an initiative on examining no communicable diseases; blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. He added that students must undergo Virus C checkup annually. As for cancer treatment, he said there are 12,000 to 13,000 patients and the state is taking all needed measures. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi also referred to several health initiatives, including an initiative on cochlear implant (CI) and “Nour Hayat” initiative that aims at combating and treating diseases of weakness and loss of vision in all governorates. He also noted that he reviewed an initiative for supporting kidney patients two days ago, adding that about 18 million dollars are needed to renovate kidney dialysis medical equipment. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said the state is committed to its role in the comprehensive health insurance system, urging citizens to cooperate with the state to render the system successful. He underlined the importance of the people's commitment to subscription in the health insurance system, noting that the state has upgraded health services. He called on medical staffs to cooperate with the bodies concerned to send a positive message to the people. |
