 The first African-Arab economic conference underscored its support for President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in his efforts to boost cooperation among African and Arab states, as well as among the African youth via educational and training sessions held in Egypt.
In its final communiqué, the conference praised President Sisi, the current chairman of the African Union, for his endeavors to urge European states, China, Russia and investors across the world to pump their investments in Africa. The final communiqué touched on the Palestinian cause, with the participants declaring their support for the Palestinian people's right to establishing their own independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. It also called for restructuring the African-Arab economy, asserting the importance of outlining a free trade agreement between the Arab League and the African Union. The event was organized by the Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU) in tandem with the Arab African Council for Integration and Development as well as civil community, universities, research centers and banks. |
