Rise Up Summit in its 7th edition is to kick off for three days at the American University in Cairo (AUC) y, under the slogan Journey To Growth.
The summit will host more than 17 pitching competitions, 180 startup enterprises, in addition to 200 workshops and panel discussions. Rise Up Summit is an annual one-stop-shop event that combines prominent and pioneer startup co-founders, innovators, entrepreneurs, as well as investors in the Middle East and North Africa, focusing on success in business, challenges faced and opportunities available. The main partner and host of the Rise Up Summit is AUC, which turns 100 this year. The summit will include talks, panels, in-depth workshops and bootcamps, which are networking sessions with hundreds of investors, talent matchmaking events, and exclusive satellite events. Startups from the AUC Venture Lab (V-Lab), Egypt’s first university-based startup accelerator and a leading accelerator in the Middle East and North Africa, will also participate in the summit. In a special booth for V-Lab, graduates of this year’s cycle will share their experiences with attendees and highlight the impact of their ideas and businesses on the Egyptian economy. Meanwhile, AUC's alumni and faculty members will discuss a variety of issues, including the entrepreneurial revolution in the Middle East, digital marketing, the future of fintech, fintech in Egypt, IPOs, sustainable technology, family businesses, digital transformation and how to start a podcast. |
