His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's "wisdom" has kept Kuwait largely immune to the unrest plaguing other nations in the region, said a minister .
Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan's remarks come some 14 years after His Highness the Amir's assumption of office, ahead of national celebrations due late next month. He cited His Highness the Amir's unflinching determination to transform the country into an international financial hub, part of a broad development plan designed to meet the ambitions of the nation's youth. The minister listed His Highness the Amir's endless accomplishments, chief among them his well-chronicled diplomatic prowess that helped shield Kuwait from regional turmoil. He went on to heap praise on His Highness the Amir for his uncanny ability to create amity among Arab nations, efforts that garnered him the admiration of the international community, the minister added. |
