Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting to follow up work progress in a project for digitizing the comprehensive health insurance system.
During the meeting, Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat reviewed the axes of the national project which include the technology infrastructure and efforts to link all governmental facilities engaged in the first phase of the project together with the data centers via a high-speed optical fiber network. The minister pointed out that 53 facilities engaged in the health insurance system were linked together in Port Said governorate, 118 others were linked in Luxor and 25 in South Sinai. The minister also shed light on the axis related to the applications set to be used in the system, mainly those pertaining to efforts to register people benefiting from the project and service providers. Some 600,000 citizens were registered as part of the project in Port Said governorate, he said. Various national databases were linked together to facilitate information exchange, he added. He said that the system of registering the people benefiting from the project has been linked with the government portal, adding that databases of the beneficiaries were also linked with the national databases. |
