Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli met with Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) Mohamed Farid to discuss developments on the securities market in light of Corona-virus.
The pandemic has taken its toll on both advanced and emerging economies, but the Egyptian government has taken measures to handle the situation. One such measure was to reduce stamp duties, not to mention delaying capital taxes. The banking sector also announced an increase in investment in shares listed on the EGX. Other measures such as remote work and electronic voting have also been applied to guarantee activities are not hindered. |
