Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar and Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal met to discuss implementation of projects meant to bring the districts of Maspero, Magra el Eyoun and Rowdat el Sayyeda up to code.
The meeting took up the establishment of a number of towers in the “Maspero Triangle” area, Gazzar said in a statement by the Housing Ministry, noting that the project extends over an area of 6.2 feddans. Work is also underway to build residential units, a mall, restaurants and bazaars in Magra el Eyoun area, the minister said. He added that he is following up the removal of shabby buildings as part of a “Rowdat el Sayyada 2” project. Gazzar urged quick action to complete the projects aimed to restore Cairo’s historical, cultural and tourist role, while creating a modern and civilized environment that reflects the economic renaissance in the country. |
