Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli chaired a meeting on to follow up a national project to develop provincial capitals and major cities.
The videoconferencing meeting, attended by Mohamed El-Etreby, the Chairman of BanqueMisr, and Hesham Okasha, the Chairman of the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), aimed to discuss some proposals on possible participation of the two banks in this development project through making use of their own plots of land. The premier underlined the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to carry out a major project to achieve that progress through implementing urban development in these provincial capitals and cities. Madbouli said the meeting comes within the framework of reaching an agreement on a mechanism to make use of these plots of land through establishing partnership with the two banks on this score. He added that the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority will start carrying out the projects ordered by Sisi, who directed that the period of implementation shall not exceed 18 months. Both chairmen of the banks welcomed that deal and voiced their readiness to start carrying out such development projects. |
