Trade and Industry Minister Niven Gamea said Friday 03/06/2022 that the working program, signed between her ministry and the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, and the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), and the African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank) aims at reinforcing Egypt’s export sectors in 2022-2023.
The program, whose signing ceremony was witnessed by Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, comes as part of the Arab-Africa Trade Bridges (AATB) program, and targets executing projects that support the Egyptian economy, according to the minister. It also enhances the country’s efforts to boost the presence of the Egyptian exports in African markets, Gamea said. The minister added that the program includes several activities, including dispatching Egyptian trade missions to some African countries, supporting the participation of Egyptian companies in different trade fairs, forums, conferences, and workshops in Africa, and providing finances and guarantees to the Egyptian exports to countries across the continent. |
