The cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) said the value of Egypt's exports to international blocs, of which the country is a member, hit 35 billion dollars in 2021 with a 22 percent increase, compared to the volume of imports which reached 38 billion dollars.
In an infographic published by the center to highlight new data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the visual representation shed light on the tangible rise in Egyptian exports to a number of international blocs, whether Egypt is a member of it or not. Egypt's exports to the Arab free trade zone ranked first, hitting 11 billion dollars in 2021, with a 6 percent rise, followed by ESCWA reaching 8 billion dollars, with a 3.5 percent increase and COMESA that was placed in the last position, with total exports of 3 billion dollars to mark a 31 percent increase, according to the infographic data. It added the Egyptian exports to international alliances, of which Egypt is not a member, reached 20 billion dollars in 2021, with a 77 percent rise against 38 billion dollars, which is the value of the imports. |
