The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) issued a report on promoting the use of renewable energy in industrial institutions.
The energy sector is a key driver for the socio-economic development of Egypt, representing around 13% of current GDP, according to the report. The report, meanwhile, assessed the current situation of the renewable energy in Egypt and its role in attaining sustainable development. Egypt enjoys an abundance of renewable energy sources with great future potentials, added the report. The report further pointed out to the mechanisms and measures taken by the State to enhance the renewable energy in the industrial sector. The report also presented mechanisms to adopt the various industries of the renewable energy and benefit from the international successful experiments in this respect. |
