Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait said that Egypt is keen on supporting international technology industry locally as part of its digital economy transformation efforts.
During a meeting with a delegation of Amazon.eg, led by Amr Al Salehi, head of company in Egypt, he said the country's decision to support the technology industry coincides with international variables witnessed by the world economy in the aftermath the unprecedented challenges in Europe and the effects of COVID-19. He said the technology industry creates more job opportunities, eliminates obstacles hindering the tax and customs measures and attracts more investments. For his part, Salehi said his company seeks to expand investments in Egypt and offer exceptional chances for its Egyptian clients. |
