Egypt's Ambassador to Netherlands Hatem Abdel Qader reviewed the priorities of Egypt's presidency of the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), due to be hosted by Egypt's Sharm el Sheikh in November.
He made the remarks during a meeting with with the head of the Danish-Middle East business council and a number of representatives for Danish companies, investment agencies and universities. The meeting fell within the framework of preparations for the COP27. The Foreign Ministry said on its Facebook page that the ambassador highlighted the most important initiatives tendered by Egypt on the agenda of the event, especially those incentivizing investment in green hydrogen. He noted that Egypt's distinguished location qualifies it to be a hub for green hydrogen which is one of the most important resources of clean and sustainable energy. He also focused on available investment opportunities in Egypt in this promising sector. He urged the Danish side to magnify the benefit of such opportunities as the world is tending to invest in clean energy in light of growing interest in addressing climate and energy issues. He also reviewed the most important features of Egypt's economic plans, highlighting the positive international indexes on the Egyptian economy performance despite the current international challenges. |
